10U Program Summer 2025

At Mountainside Racquet Club, we believe tennis is a sport for everyone—including our youngest players! Our 10U Tennis System Junior Academy introduces children to the fundamentals of the game in a fun and engaging way, helping them build confidence and a lifelong love of tennis.

Choose from Red, Orange, Green Ball, or Advanced Green, running Monday to Friday throughout the summer. Register now by selecting the weeks you want—spots are filling up fast!

Program Details & Pricing

  • Red, Orange, and Green Ball Program

    • Monday – Friday | 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

    • $275 per week

    • Register online

  • Advanced Green Ball (Requires approval from our 10U Director, Brittany LaBruna)

    • Monday – Friday | 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

    • $375 per week

    • Approval required before registration

 

Program Dates: June 23, 2025 – August 29,

2025
(No clinics will be held on Friday, July 4, 2025.)

  • No refunds or makeups will be provided for withdrawals or absences during the program.

  • Under no circumstances will the program be refunded.

Level 1 

Red Ball

Details: Red Ball is the first level of the 10U youth progression program which utilizes a larger, soft compression tennis ball on a smaller tennis court with a lower net. Children will begin to develop their athletic and hand-eye coordination skills through specific drills which focuses on footwork and stroke development.  Children who complete the Red Ball program will have a basic understanding of stroke mechanics as well as being able to direct their shot, and sustain a rally with coaches and fellow students. Level 2

Orange Ball

Details: Orange Ball is the second level of the 10U youth progression, and children entering the program will have developed all of the Red Ball program skills. The Orange Ball program utilizes a decompressed tennis ball on a smaller tennis court with a regular net.  The program consists of drills to improve their tennis stroke mechanics and movement skills.  Additionally, the program introduces live ball play to develop their point play skills. Graduates of the program will demonstrate the ability to consistently serve, understand tennis scoring, and rally with other students on a modified tennis court. Level 3

Green Ball

Details: Green Ball is the third level of the 10U youth progression and is played on a full-sized tennis court with a regular sized, lower compression tennis ball. Students in the program are beginning to develop a mastery of tennis stroke mechanics with a focus on rallies and point play.  Students graduating from the program will be able to do cooperative drills, rally from the baseline, and be able to play a tennis match set on a regulation size tennis court. Program duration: Monday - Friday 9a.m.-11a.m.

Level 4    |   Advanced Green Ball

Details: Advanced Green Ball is designed for the student who is proficient in all Green Ball skills and wishes to compete in USTA tournaments.  For participation in the program, students must have an evaluation and are expected to be able to rally and serve with consistency. In the Advanced Green Program, students will gain the ability to train cooperatively, learn how to hit with spin, and develop tennis strategy.
